Responses offered to the following issues:from Suzanne:
Recently I have noticed that the Sinemet is wearing off faster and with more of a bang, i.e., not gradually but all of a sudden.
I have taken my dosage down from 3 whole to 2 divided into 4 doses with some supplemental Mucuna. All of the progress that I thought was from my own hard work—mostly
QiGong 2-3 hrs. a day has been from the medication it seems.
Also, it works pretty well in the morning even though one of the doses is taken in the middle of the night. As the day goes on it works less well with the afternoon dose sometimes not working at all. I am a hungry person and only weigh 108 so I think I eat when I shouldn’t.
It all seems so complicated. I have been taking the drug for 3 years.
I’ve been eating organically for nearly 30 years, doing detox, and generally working on getting rid of Parkinson’s. It’s very discouraging and exhausting to shake most of the day. I have also started to festinate and freeze a little. I’m also doing therapy and trying to cover all the bases.
Sometimes I think the medication is what’s made me worse recently. The dr. only thinks of throwing more medication of some kind at me which I don’t want.
