September 2025 Update

Update for my best selling book Road to Recovery from Parkinsons Disease is proceeding nicely. I should have the finalized version published by next month.

Two Ways to Tame Tremors

In the video for this month I discuss two ways to tame tremors that you can explore right now – no expense required and no appointment to a medical professional necessary.

The first method is suggested by photographer Allen Babbitt who took the image that appears on the cover of Road to Recovery.  There is a 10 minute video of Allen who discusses his personal experience with  his own Parkinson’s diagnosis. The tip he offers in the video is to toss a ball from hand to hand while walking. This simple activity tames his tremors completely.

Here is the link to the video. It will be the best 10 minutes you have spent today even if tremors do not happen to be a problematic symptom for you.

How to Take Control of Tremors

The second suggestion that tames tremors is to – of all things – pinch your fingers. The formal title of this therapy is PNST – which stands for Prickling Neuro Stimulation. (Some people call this toothpick Neuro Stimulation because you can use a toothpick to stimulate points on the fingers). PNST is actually a form of acupuncture which activates points on the body that are connected to various organs and systems. The points on the hands that connect to the brain are on the tips of the fingers and along the thumbs.

As I suggest in the video – give this a trial spin right now and see if you succeed in taming your tremors. I learned all about this simple method from a member of my audience who said she pinched her father’s fingers who had Parkinsons with great results. Nothing lost here to try it out, eh?
