Topics suggested by members and questions that were asked all revolved on this one, key issue.

I discussed several markedly different approaches for helping the body come back into a place of balance, safety, calm and centeredness. My strong suggestion is to explore ways to help get anxiety and stress under control.

A program available only in Europe stimulates acupuncture points in the feet using gentle electronic stimulation. This approach is very similar to reflexology which is available in most cities and towns across the globe. The website that describes this therapy is here:

www.gondola-parkinson.com

This treatment primarily facilitates better mobility and balance. Effects for most people are positive, but short lived.

2. If you have mobility problems, I suggested that you transport yourself (using your imagination) to the Planet of Slow. Becoming completely mindful when taking each step is a smart way to convert problematic walking to rock solid walking.

3. Have you been unusually tired and fatigued lately despite eating right and exercising? You may have ammonia poisoning which, unknown to most people, shuts down the body’s natural ability to regenerate new stem cells. I discuss natural ways to facilitate the release of excess ammonia in the body by avoiding certain foods, especially wheat and cheese, both of which contain high amounts of ammonia (relatively speaking).

4. A program called Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) focuses attention on the vagus nerve which connects the digestive system to the brain. I discussed reasons why this program should be beneficial because if focuses on reducing the excessive energy running through the triple warmer meridian (which is why we are unable to reduce our anxieties and fears). When anxiety is brought under control, your symptoms will subside. Hooray!

5. Vauna offered an eloquent explanation of Heart Math, a program which has helped her immensely. This tried and true program helps you learn how to reduce anxieties and fears (which again, lead to a significant reduction or elimination of symptoms). For more information about Heart Math, contact Vauna (vauna1@aol.com).

Robert

The focus of our discussions this month were directed on various therapies that tone down the intensity of the sympathetic nervous system.
