Improve Your Posture By Doing the Superman Exercise and Alternate Arm and Leg Lifts

Physical therapist Kevin Lockette has worked extensively with persons who currently experience the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. In the following brief clip of my  interview with him, he divulges the two exercises that provide the greatest benefit to improving posture. He calls one of the exercises Superman. The other exercise involves alternate arm and leg lifts (Right Arm with Left Leg; Left Arm with Right Leg). The videos below show how both of these exercises are done.

Most people do not even know about these two exercises. He also points out that most people do not particularly like doing them. But hey – want to prevent falls and improve balance? This is how they are done. Take five minutes out of your day to do them and I suspect you will be pleased at the result.
